My Easter Ramble

Easter this year is fast approaching, and it constantly reminds me that its my favourite time of year.

I do love Christmas, but Easter has my heart. Its a little slower, less crazy, it's filled with chocolate, family time, and it often rains.

I love the reflection that comes with Easter. It's almost as if you can stop, recharge and even restart some of those things you've committed to or challenged yourself with.

 

Our Whimsical Easter Collection

Our 2017 Easter Collection has come together in the same way. 

Inspired by fabric textures, colours and patterns, I just let my heart lead the way.

Along with our extensive range of Bonnets that you all know and love, we've added two new Bonnets, especially for Easter. 

Our Easter Floral Bonnet is a soft, linen fabric, with a bold, yet natural floral print. The perfect addition to any little girls wardrobe and Easter outfit. 

Our neutral Bonnet this year, is our Cornflower Blue Bonnet. I think of "days gone by" when I see this colour, it reminds me of something retro, yet something modern all at once. Again, the perfect addition to any little Girl or Boys wardrobe and Easter outfit. 

All of our Bonnets are made to order. You can add a Brim, Frilly Brim, Bunny ears or Bear ears. You can have the middle of the ear white, pink or the same colour as the Bonnet fabric you choose. You can add a Winter Lining too, perfect for those cool months in the frosty parts of Australia, and for our babes across the seas. We also have our Bonnets in Dolly size - because CUTE!

Our Easter Collaboration Photoshoot

I have been incredibly blessed this year, in being able to be a part of a collaborative photoshoot. Its a true force when businesses with different and unique talents combine them together.

We created something magical.

If you've been living under an easter egg, you wouldn't have noticed the images popping up on our Instagram and under #tkgeastercollab - but don't worry, I'll fit you in!

We combined our gorgeous Bonnets and TopKnots with three gorgeous forces. 

Jess from Fika for Days is a gorgeous friend of mine, and was a creative force behind taking us from "lets snap a few pics of the kids in my Bonnets" to this beautiful photoshoot that was created. Jess makes amazing Cakes with heart (see her story here) and provided Cakes, Macaroons and Donuts for this shoot. She also created Finn, the sweet little man in our shoot!

Sharni, the babe behind Sharni Tait Photography, captured the vision perfectly. Sharni was calm, collected and able to work with 3 three year olds - without getting frustrated! Amazing! I've known Sharni for about 13 years, she used to be my nail tech, back in my Hairdressing days! 

Megs from Ginger Megs, I met on the day - and what a girl! She's clever, and her talents are endless. She's not only a florist, but an event stylist too! She quickly began work, prepping scenes and styling the gorgeous images in the shoot! She produced props from out of the back of her van, that appeared like a jumble sale, until I looked over again and saw these amazing, Easter inspired scenes, ready for curious models to enjoy.

As well as these gorgeous 3, a special thanks too, to Kim, Lotties Mumma, for coming and helping, oh and making a gorgeous model! 

We also worked with a heap of wonderful suppliers, and I will outline them and provide all their wonderful shop links at the end of this blog.
